I Felt like A Traitor...

It's been quite some time since my last post and there's a very good reason for that:  I bought a new Class C motor home and my wife and I thought it would be great way to get a little bit more room and convenience while we traveled.  Well, it did offer that but...we really didn't need all of the extra room, the convenience we thought we'd enjoy really wasn't there and as it turned out it was just too big.

So, off to the RV dealership yesterday to see what we could come up with as it related to going smaller and back into a van.  The good news is that we were able to find exactly what we were searching for AND the dealership bought our new home without question.  They were desperate to get it back into their inventory.

After playing with the numbers for about 6 hours we finally came to an agreement on price and terms and within the next few days we'll be picking up our brand spanking new Roadtrek RS E-trek.  Now we will be able to go totally off grid and never have to depend on propane or a generator.  The E-Trek runs on solar and AGM batteries that run forever + a day.  We are SO EXCITED!  Back to our roots and once again VanAboding.

Life is good.  We'll keep you posted as we head out to new and exciting boondocking locations all over this great nation.

Here's what we bought.  Ours is Charcoal Grey so it will blend in nicely wherever we decide to "hide."

New Ride Coming Soon

At last my wife told me that she would give vanaboding (on a limited basis) a try but only if we went out and bought a new class B motor home that will fit both of our requirements.  My requirements are simple.  It has to run, not break down, and arrive safely at each destination.  Hers are a little more complex...has to have bathroom, kitchen, king size or queen size bed, able to fit in a regular parking space and have all the other comforts of home.

That sounded impossible to fulfill...BUT...Roadtrek Zion has it all and within the next few days I do believe we'll be the proud owners of a new Zion.  I can't wait!  I am so excited that she has finally agreed to travel with me and explore the wide open spaces and beautiful America with me.

I am so blessed!
